It also tracks your water, weight and progress, suggests meals that fit your remaining macros, and learns your tastes over time. Ask Watto "what can you do?" in chat to see everything it offers.

How do I log a meal with Watto?

Open the Watto tab and simply type what you ate — for example, "I had two chapatis and dal makhani". Watto estimates the calories and macros, files it under the right meal based on the time of day, and updates your streak and XP. If it gets something wrong, just reply "undo that" and it will remove the log.

Can Watto log a meal from a photo?

Yes! In the Watto chat, tap the camera icon, then snap your plate or choose a photo from your gallery. Watto identifies each item — with Indian portions like katoris and roti counts in mind — and logs the meal with estimated macros. Typing a quick note like "half portion" before sending helps sharpen the estimate. Photo logging in chat is available to everyone and uses one of your Watto chats. There's also Camera Log in the Quick Add menu — a whattoBite Pro feature — which lets you pick the meal slot (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack, or Additional) before you snap.

How does Voice Log work?

Open Quick Add and choose Voice Log, then tap the microphone and describe what you ate — like "I had two chapatis and dal makhani". Watto transcribes your words, works out the nutrition, and shows you the calories, protein, carbs and fat to review before you tap Log Meal. Voice Log is a whattoBite Pro feature. There's also a mic built into the Watto chat box that anyone can use — it turns your speech into text and never sends automatically, so you can review and edit before sending.

How many Watto chats do I get for free?

New members start with 30 free chats to explore everything Watto can do. After that, you get 5 AI chats every day on the free plan, and quick lookups like "show me today's plan" or "how are my macros looking?" are always free and never count against your allowance. A small counter above the chat box shows how many chats you have left. Pro members get 200 chats a day — effectively unlimited for everyday use.

What is "What Watto Learned"?

It's a screen that shows what Watto has picked up about you. Find it under Profile → AI Assistant → What Watto Learned. Everyone can see Watto's memory of them — a plain-words summary of the facts Watto has learned, with a tap-to-remove option on each. With whattoBite Pro, the screen also unlocks a "Watto knows you" score that grows as you log meals and chat, stat highlights like meals logged and active days, and detailed pattern insights — when you actually eat, which meals you tend to skip, where your macros drift, and more.

Does Watto remember things I tell it? Can I make it forget?

Yes — tell Watto things like "remember I don't like paneer" and it saves that permanently, using it to shape every future suggestion. Ask "what do you know about me?" anytime to see the full list. To remove something, tap the ✕ next to that fact on the What Watto Learned screen, or simply tell Watto to forget it in chat.

Can Watto change my diet plan?

Absolutely. Ask something like "swap my dinner to something lighter" and Watto generates a replacement and saves it straight into your plan, or say "make the next two days lighter" and it reshapes the upcoming days. Free members get 3 meal swaps per diet plan; whattoBite Pro lets you swap as often as you like, with a daily fair-use cap to keep things fair. Any allergies on your profile are strictly avoided in replacements.

Why does Watto message me first sometimes?

Watto sends friendly check-ins at helpful moments — a morning kickoff, a nudge if lunch hasn't been logged, a heads-up when your streak is at risk, and a Sunday recap of your week. These are limited to at most 2 a day and only arrive between 8am and 9pm, timed around when you usually eat. They're designed to keep you on track without being noisy.

What is the Sunday Sit-down?

It's a short guided weekly review with Watto, offered every Sunday once you're at least a week into your journey. You'll see a card on your home screen (and an evening reminder around 7:30pm) — tap it and Watto walks you through your week with real numbers, asks a few quick questions about the week ahead, and adjusts your plan based on what you share. It takes about three minutes and ends with one clear focus for the coming week.

How do I start a new chat or find an old conversation?

At the top of the Watto tab, tap the + button to start a fresh conversation — your current one is saved automatically. Tap the chat-bubble icon to open Chat History, where all your past conversations are listed. Tap any conversation to pick it back up, or press and hold one to rename or delete it.

Is Watto safe to use with my food allergies?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Watto takes allergies on your profile seriously at every step. Meal suggestions containing your allergens are removed automatically, and meal swaps are regenerated to strictly exclude them. If you log a meal yourself that contains an allergen, Watto will still record it but warn you clearly.
