What will whattoBite ask me when I first set up the app?

Setup is a short guided questionnaire that helps us build a plan that actually fits your life. You'll pick a goal (like Lose Weight, Build Muscle, Get Lean, Improve Energy and Health, or Maintain), share basics like your age, height, weight and target weight, and tell us your activity level, food preferences and meal style. We also ask about allergies, any medical conditions (optional), what you struggle with most (like cravings or late-night snacking), and how committed you're feeling. Every answer shapes your personal diet plan, so the more accurate you are, the better it fits.

Will I lose my answers if I close the app halfway through setup?

Accepted Answer

No — your answers are saved on your device as you go. If you close the app or get interrupted, whattoBite brings you right back to the screen you left off on the next time you open it. Your partial answers stay private on your phone until you finish setup.

Question 3

Which diet preferences does whattoBite support?

Accepted Answer

During setup you can choose from I eat everything, Vegetarian, Eggetarian, Vegan, Jain (no root vegetables), Halal, and Pescatarian. Your plan is built around this choice, along with your allergies and any medical conditions you share, so every meal respects how you eat.

How is my first diet plan created?

Accepted Answer

Once you finish the questionnaire, whattoBite builds a personalised 7-day plan based on everything you shared — your goal, body stats, activity level, food preferences, allergies and struggles. You'll see a short reveal of your diet strategy while the first day is prepared, and then your full plan opens day by day. Each day shows meals like breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner with calories and macros for every meal.

How long does it take to generate my plan?

Your first day is usually ready very quickly — the app moves you to your plan as soon as Day 1 is done. The rest of your week keeps building in the background, and you don't have to wait for it: tap Start My Journey to begin with today's plan, and the remaining days will appear as they finish.

Question 6

What happens if I close the app while my plan is generating?

Accepted Answer

Nothing is lost. Your plan is built on whattoBite's servers, not on your phone, so generation keeps going even if you switch apps or your phone locks. When you come back, the app simply picks up where the plan is and shows you the latest progress.

Question 7

Can I change a meal in my new plan if I don't like it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On your plan preview, each meal card has a swap button — tap it and whattoBite will suggest a replacement that fits your calories and preferences. If the suggestion isn't quite right, you can tell it what you'd like instead. Swapping becomes available once your full plan has finished generating, and swaps have a usage limit.

Do I need an account to get my diet plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes — signing in is the very first step after you tap Start My Plan on the welcome screen, so your plan can be saved and synced from the start. You can sign in with Google, or with Apple on devices that support it. If you've used whattoBite before, signing in takes you straight to your existing plan; if you're new, the questionnaire begins right after.

Question 9

What is the Pro trial offered during setup?

Accepted Answer

Just before your plan is generated, you can opt into a 7-day free trial of whattoBite Pro — no payment is due at that point, and you can also tap Skip for now to pass. If you opt in, the trial starts when you tap Start My Journey on your new plan, and it's limited to one trial per account. It's a great way to explore the premium features while you settle into your first week.

Question 10

Why can't I go back to the questions once my plan is ready?

Accepted Answer

Once your plan is generated, the plan screen is the final step of setup — going backwards into the questionnaire could conflict with the plan that's already been built. Tap Start My Journey to head into the app. You can review and fine-tune your details from your profile inside the app afterwards.
