What reminders does whattoBite send me?

whattoBite sends friendly reminders from Watto throughout the day: meal reminders for breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner, hydration nudges to drink water, and an evening streak reminder so you don't break your logging chain. You'll also get weekly notifications — your progress recap and the Sunday Sit-down with Watto on Sunday evenings, and a weigh-in reminder on Monday mornings. On top of that, you're notified the moment a new diet plan is ready, when you unlock an achievement badge, and when Watto adapts your plan. Every reminder category can be turned on or off individually.

How do I turn notifications on or off?

Open the Profile tab and tap Notifications. The Push Notifications switch at the top controls everything, and below it you can toggle each category individually — Meal Reminders, Hydration, Streak Nudges, Daily Missions, Weekly Weigh-in, Plans & Weekly Reports, and Offers & Tips. Changes take effect right away.

When do meal reminders arrive?

Meal reminders follow your day: breakfast at 7:45 AM, lunch at 12:00 PM, your snack at 3:45 PM, and dinner at 7:15 PM. There's also a gentle catch-all reminder shortly after 7 PM to log any meals you haven't logged yet. Some reminders, like hydration and streak nudges, arrive a few minutes off the hour on purpose so they feel natural rather than robotic.

What are Quiet Hours?

Quiet Hours mute reminders between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM so whattoBite never wakes you up. They're on by default. You can turn them off from the Profile tab under Notifications, using the 'Don't disturb at night' switch.

How do I stop promotional messages but keep my meal reminders?

Accepted Answer

You don't have to switch everything off. Go to the Profile tab, tap Notifications, and turn off just the 'Offers & Tips' toggle. Your meal reminders, streak nudges and weekly reports will keep arriving as usual.

How can I check that notifications are working?

Accepted Answer

Go to the Profile tab, tap Notifications, and scroll to the bottom. Tap 'Send a test notification' and one should appear on your device within a few moments. If you see a message saying no device was found yet, make sure notifications are allowed for whattoBite in your phone's Settings, then reopen the app and try again.

Will I be told when my new diet plan is ready?

Yes. If you start generating a plan and switch away from the app, whattoBite sends a 'Your diet plan is ready!' notification the moment it's done, so you can come straight back and dig in. (If you're watching the generation screen, you'll see it finish live instead.) Make sure the 'Plans & Weekly Reports' toggle is on in Profile > Notifications to receive it.

What is the Sunday Sit-down notification?

Every Sunday at 7:30 PM, Watto invites you to a short weekly check-in — about 3 minutes to review how your week really went and set up the next one. Tapping the notification takes you straight into the chat with Watto. It's part of the 'Plans & Weekly Reports' category, so you can turn it off there if you prefer.

Where can I see notifications I missed?

Tap the bell icon at the top of the app to open your notification feed. It keeps a history of updates from whattoBite — like plan updates, weekly reports and achievements — organised into Today, Yesterday and earlier. You can swipe individual notifications away or tap 'Clear All' to empty the list.

Do I get a cheat meal reminder?

If you're a Pro member and have scheduled a weekly cheat meal, whattoBite sends a cheerful reminder on your chosen day at that meal's usual time so you can enjoy it guilt-free. If you change or turn off your cheat meal schedule, the reminder updates automatically.

Question 11

Do notifications stop if I sign out?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Signing out cancels all scheduled reminders on your device and stops pushes from being sent to it. When you sign back in, your reminders are set up again automatically based on your saved preferences.
