How does my day streak work, and what breaks it?

Your streak counts the consecutive days you've logged food in whattoBite — log at least one meal each day and it keeps climbing. You can see it on the Home screen's STREAK stat, on the Badges tab, and in your Weekly Recap. A day with nothing logged breaks the streak, but today never counts against you until it's over, so you always have until midnight to keep it alive.

What are Watto's Daily Missions?

Each day, Watto deals you three small missions on the Home screen: one about logging (like logging every planned meal), one about nutrition (like reaching 90% of your protein target or having breakfast before 10 AM), and one habit (like drinking 6 glasses of water or checking in with Watto). The day's three missions are fixed once dealt and tick off automatically as you go about your day. On Mondays, one mission is always a weigh-in to keep your trend honest.

What is a Perfect Day?

Complete all three of Watto's missions in a single day and you've earned a Perfect Day. You'll get a full-screen celebration with confetti, your Perfect Day chain grows by one, and Watto hands you a gift to open. Stack Perfect Days back-to-back to build your chain and earn Streak Shields along the way.

What are Streak Shields and how do I earn them?

A Streak Shield is insurance for your Perfect Day chain. You earn one on every 3rd Perfect Day in your chain, and Watto occasionally slips a bonus shield into his gift box — you can hold up to 2 at a time. If you miss a day, a shield breaks automatically instead of your chain, and you'll see a note on the missions card that a shield protected you.

Do Streak Shields protect my main day streak too?

No — shields only guard your Daily Missions chain (the lightning-bolt counter on the missions card). Your main day streak is separate and stays alive simply by logging a meal every day. So even with shields banked, remember to log something daily to keep that streak going.

How do XP and levels work?

You earn 10 XP every time you log a meal, plus bonus XP whenever you unlock a badge — from 20 XP for Bronze badges up to 300 XP for Diamond ones. Each level takes a little more XP than the last, and your level ring lives on the Badges tab along with fun titles like Fork Whisperer, Macro Wrangler, and — at level 30 — The Goated One.

How many badges are there, and how do I unlock them?

There are 36 badges across five tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. They unlock automatically as you hit milestones — your first logged meal, streaks of 3 up to 100 days, 50 or 100 or even 500 meals logged, hydration and protein runs, and more. Open the Badges tab to browse every badge, see progress bars, and check the 'Closest to unlock' row for the three badges you're nearest to earning.

What's inside Watto's gift box?

After a Perfect Day, tap the gift box in the celebration to reveal your reward: a surprising food fact (often from the Indian kitchen — dal, paneer, ragi, chai), a practical coaching tip, a piece of playful Watto lore, or — if you're lucky — a bonus Streak Shield. Gifts come in NICE, RARE, and EPIC rarities, and Watto avoids repeating recent ones so the box stays fresh. Don't worry about closing the celebration too fast — your gift is always revealed before it goes away.

Why does Watto look and sound different on the missions card each day?

Watto has moods! In the morning he greets you fresh, he cheers as you tick off missions, he gently nudges you in the evening if missions are still open, and he full-on celebrates when you clear all three. His one-liners also rotate daily, so the card never feels exactly the same two days in a row.

Question 10

How do the 'Check in with Watto' and 'One-tap Vault log' missions complete?

For 'Check in with Watto', open the Watto tab and send him any message — the mission ticks as soon as your message goes through. For 'One-tap Vault log', re-log one of your usual meals straight from your Food Vault in the quick-add flow. The weigh-in mission completes when you log your weight for the day.

Can I share my streak, level, and badges with friends?

Yes! Open the Badges tab and tap the 'Share my progress' button at the top. It creates a share card with your streak, level, XP, and badge count that you can send to friends or post anywhere you like.
