How do I sign in to whattoBite?

Accepted Answer

whattoBite uses your existing Google or Apple account, so there's no password to remember. On the welcome screen, tap Continue with Google (available on all devices) or Continue with Apple (available on iPhone and iPad). If you've used whattoBite before, signing in with the same account brings back your plan and progress; if you're new, you'll go straight into setting up your first diet plan.

Can I sign up with an email and password instead?

Not at the moment — whattoBite supports sign-in through Google and Apple only. This keeps your account secure without needing another password. Just tap Continue with Google or Continue with Apple on the welcome screen and you're in.

How do I update my height, weight, or target weight?

Accepted Answer

Open the Profile tab, then under Health & Goals tap Body Metrics. You can edit your Height, Weight, Target Weight, and Activity Level — tap any field, adjust the value (you can switch between cm/ft and kg/lbs while editing), and tap Save Changes. Your BMI, calorie targets, and macros update automatically to match.

How do I change my allergies or medical conditions?

Go to the Profile tab and under Health & Goals tap Allergies & Medical Info. Tap Allergies or Medical Conditions, make your changes, and save. Keeping this up to date helps whattoBite build meal plans that are safe and right for you.

How do I change my diet preference or cuisine style?

Accepted Answer

In the Profile tab, under Health & Goals, tap Food Profile. From there you can update your Diet Preference (for example vegetarian or non-vegetarian) and your Nationality, which shapes the cuisine of your meal plans. You can also reach these from Personal Details under the Account section.

How do I switch between dark mode and light mode?

Open the Profile tab, tap Preferences under the Account section, and look at the Appearance options at the top. Choose Light, Dark, or System — System automatically follows your phone's theme. The change applies instantly across the whole app.

How do I log out of the app?

Accepted Answer

Open the Profile tab and scroll to the bottom, then tap Log Out. Confirm when asked and you'll return to the welcome screen. Logging out doesn't delete anything — your plan, streaks, and progress are all waiting when you sign back in with the same Google or Apple account.

How do I permanently delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Open the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. The app first shows you exactly what will be erased; tap Continue to Deletion, type the word "delete" to confirm, then tap Delete Account and confirm one last time on the Delete Forever prompt. This is permanent and cannot be undone, so please be sure before you confirm.

What happens to my data when I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Deleting your account permanently erases your diet history and generated plans, your progress and stats (weight logs, streaks, XP, and levels), and everything Watto has learned about your preferences, allergies, and goals. Any active subscription benefits are also revoked immediately. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.

Do my calorie and macro targets update when I change my details?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your BMI, BMR, TDEE, target calories, and protein/carb/fat targets are calculated from your Body Metrics and Goals, and they refresh automatically whenever you update those. You can view them anytime under Profile → Health & Goals → Body Calculations.

Where can I read whattoBite's Privacy Policy and Terms?

You can read them anytime at whattobite.com/privacy and whattobite.com/terms. Inside the app, open the Profile tab and scroll to Support & Legal, where both the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are one tap away. Both are also linked on the sign-in screen before you create an account.

Question 12

Is my fitness activity data kept private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you connect Google Fit (available on Android, where it works through Health Connect), your steps and activity stay on your device. You can revoke access at any time — either from the Google Fit screen in your Profile or directly in the Health Connect app on your phone. On iPhone, Apple Health sync is coming soon.
